Ballpoint pens made from bio-based materials

Our bio-based ballpoint pens are made from a variety of materials. Depending on the model, either PLA or the material ‘eco + wood’ is used.

PLA is a bio-based plastic produced from plant-based raw materials. At Klio-Eterna, three models are made from PLA. These models are available in seven or eight ‘bio’ colours respectively and can be freely combined depending on the model.

eco + wood is a bio-based material containing 15 per cent wood fibre. The visible wood fibres give it a natural look and feel. The material contains no fossil-based plastics and is free from BPA and PFAS.

All models are manufactured in Germany.
