With the EMAS certificate we received in January 2024, we are sending a strong signal about our sustainable and future-oriented corporate management – something we are very proud of.
Our close cooperation with partners and employees who meet our high standards of quality and environmental protection forms the basis of our success.
In addition to EMAS, our membership in BSCI and SEDEX is a given of course – as are certifications according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001 (integrated into EMAS).
Furthermore, we continuously invest in innovative projects to reduce our energy footprint: energy-efficient machines, a large photovoltaic system and intelligent systems for controlling and optimising our energy processes demonstrate our responsible use of resources.
EMAS – Sustainable Environmental Management
Systemic sustainability
Since January 2024, we have been one of the first companies in the industry to hold EMAS environmental certification.
EMAS stands for ‘Eco-Management and Audit Scheme’ and is the world's most demanding system for sustainable environmental management.
This certification underlines our future-oriented and sustainable corporate management.

Added value of EMAS
EMAS fully incorporates ISO 14001 and at the same time goes significantly beyond it, because it not only requires a management system, but also makes actual, verifiable environmental performance, legal compliance and transparency mandatory. EMAS is structurally based on ISO 14001. All ISO 14001 requirements for the planning, implementation, control and improvement of an environmental management system are an integral part of EMAS. This means that every EMAS organisation automatically meets the ISO 14001 criteria. Large parts of ISO 50001 are also covered, as energy consumption, efficiency and emissions are key environmental aspects.
EMAS is the most comprehensive environmental management system in Europe because it fully integrates ISO 14001, sets additional requirements for transparency, legal compliance and environmental performance, requires a validated environmental statement and is audited by government-monitored assessors.
