General information
Klio-Eterna produces plastic ballpoint pens made in Germany.
These include models with metal tips or metal clips, eco-friendly ballpoint pens made from sustainable materials, and versions with antibacterial or antiviral surfaces. In addition to classic ballpoint pens, our range also includes a standing ballpoint pen and a ballpoint pen with a USB port.
Promotional pens are among the most durable and cost-effective promotional items.
They are everyday items, can be used multiple times and ensure lasting brand presence. Only through high quality, clean-writing refills and durable printing can pens have a long-term advertising effect.
Yes, we have six different cases in our assortment.
They can hold one or two writing instruments and, depending on the model, are made of cardboard or plastic – available with a lid, a viewing window or a magnetic clasp for opening, and also in a linen or carbon-fibre finish. We also offer a transparent plastic case with a 360-degree view and a practical slip-in case. Of course, the cases can also be customised with prints.

Klio-Eterna is a manufacturer of promotional ballpoint pens made in Germany.
The entire production process – in-house refill manufacturing, plastic injection moulding, printing, assembly and shipping – takes place at the Wolfach site.
At Klio-Eterna, ‘Made in Germany’ means that the entire value chain takes place in Germany.
From our own refill production and injection moulding to printing and assembly, all plastic ballpoint pens are manufactured at our site in Wolfach.
Sustainable Business
We manufacture ballpoint pens, including eco-friendly ballpoint pens, sustainably under certified environmental management.
Our company is EMAS-certified and focuses on resource-saving processes as well as bio-based and recycled plastics.
EMAS is the highest European environmental management system for companies.
Klio-Eterna is EMAS-certified as a company. The certification confirms measurable environmental goals, transparent reporting and continuous improvements in environmental and resource protection.
In addition to EMAS, we are committed to actively contributing to climate protection in various ways.
We use only green electricity from 100% renewable energy sources generated by European power stations. Through PRIMAKLIMA, we offset CO2 emissions by supporting reforestation and forest conservation in certified projects in Indonesia, Cambodia and Uganda.
We are members of amfori BSCI and Sedex.

Eco-friendly ballpoint pens
Klio-Eterna offers eco-friendly ballpoint pens made from bio-based and recycled plastics.
Many models are made of sustainable materials and are manufactured entirely in Germany.
Some of our casings are made from PLA – a bio-based plastic derived from plant starch that is industrially compostable in accordance with DIN EN 13432.
The granulate used comes from local plants, thereby contributing to shorter supply chains and lower CO₂ emissions.
They are made from recycled ABS material – sourced from our own recycled material and industrial plastic waste – and are therefore genuine eco-pens made in Germany.
Almost; it is made from bio-based plastic with visible wood fibres derived from regional waste materials.
Free from fossil-based components, microplastics, BPA and PFAS. The material is industrially compostable and reduces energy consumption thanks to low processing temperatures.
Antibacterial ballpoint pens
Yes, Klio-Eterna offers antibacterial ballpoint pens.
The three models are 100% made in Germany and made from recycled materials.
Silver ion additives are mixed into the plastic before injection moulding.
The protective properties are permanently embedded in the material and work without the need for an additional coating – ensuring particularly hygienic promotional ballpoint pens.
The reduction in pathogenic microbes is >99% after 24 hours.
The protection is long-lasting, ensuring that the pens remain hygienic over the long term. The effectiveness has been tested in accordance with ISO 22196 (antibacterial) and ISO 21702 (antiviral).
Refill Cartridge Production
Klio-Eterna manufactures ballpoint pen refills in its own refill production facility in Germany.
In-house production allows us to control ink quality, writing length and writing comfort. The ballpoint pen ink is document-proof in accordance with ISO 12757-2, REACH-compliant (Regulation 1907/2006) and thus meets the highest safety and quality standards for professional use.
Yes, we offer replacements.
With almost every model, you can change the refill yourself.
Our Silktech refills consist of tubes made in-house from recycled polypropylene (rPP).
By using recycled material, we reduce the use of new resources and, thanks to in-house production, shorten transport distances.
Personalisation & Printing
Metal ballpoint pens can be engraved or printed.
Depending on the model and logo, laser engraving or printing processes are possible.
The delivery time for printed pens is usually 3–4 weeks.
Production processes can be efficiently controlled thanks to complete in-house production at our Wolfach site.
Ballpoint pens with logos can be requested directly via the Klio-Eterna website.
Klio-Eterna is a manufacturer of promotional ballpoint pens made in Germany. Delivery is exclusively via specialist promotional item retailers. Companies can commission their dealer or send an enquiry directly – a suitable dealer will be found for them.
Ballpoint pens can be personalised using various printing techniques.
Pad printing, screen printing and laser engraving are used. For selected plastic models, full-colour digital printing is also possible on the clip.
Ordering
Samples of ballpoint pens are available in standard colours.
They are provided via promotional product retailers or after referral to a suitable trading partner.
Yes, but we are a B2B manufacturer and sell exclusively to trading partners.
You can still use the ordering function on our website: we will automatically match you with a suitable sales partner if you do not yet have one. This ensures that you receive your order quickly and reliably.
The price depends on the model chosen, the size and colours of the logo, and the printing technique used.

Service
Special colours are available from Klio-Eterna for orders of 3,000 pens or more.
As part of the ‘Any Colour You Want’ programme, models can be produced in individual CI colours. The surcharge is €300 (RRP).
Printed ballpoint pens are available in standard colours from 500 pieces.
Four selected plastic models and some metal ballpoint pens can be personalised from as little as 100 pieces. Special colours are available from 3,000 pieces, as well as the Trias model.
Yes, we offer free design suggestions.
This allows you to see how your logo or design will look on the pen before production begins, and you can have the layout adjusted if necessary.
A vectorised logo is required for most types of printing.
If you do not have a vector file, we can vectorise your logo for you on request. Please note that this is not possible for all designs and the cost is charged on an hourly basis.
