A successful start to a new chapter

Mohcine settles in: Successful integration of a Moroccan apprentice at Klio‑Eterna.

In autumn, we welcomed Mohcine (on the right in the photo) as a new apprentice in injection molding at Klio‑Eterna. Just a few months later, it’s clear that he has found his place – within the team, in his daily work, and in his new life in Germany.

What he values most is the teamwork: “Working in a great team. Everyone is very helpful.” In the injection molding department, he quickly discovered his favorite task: changing tools on the injection molding machines.

Starting a new life in a different country is not always easy, especially at vocational school: “Because my German isn’t perfect yet, the exams can be difficult, but the teachers and classmates are all very kind to me.” Still, he says clearly: “I would make the same decision again anytime.”

Outside of work, he is also settling into life in Wolfach. He loves the nature around the region, although the winter is “too cold and too grey” for his taste. He is already looking forward to spring and the warmth of summer. The popular German egg noodle pasta called Spätzle made it onto his plate only once so far – he prefers cooking traditional Moroccan dishes. Weekends are for resting and exploring the area.

Also pictured is Mohammed, who came from Morocco in 2022. After successfully completing his apprenticeship, he is now a permanent member of the injection molding team. He supports Mohcine at work and beyond – the two even share an apartment. Mohammed’s journey continues: He will soon obtain his trainer certification and take responsibility for training in the injection molding department.

In the end, Mohcine shares something many can relate to: “I miss my family, the food, and the warmth.”

We are all the more pleased to accompany him on his journey – strengthening our commitment to diversity, successful integration, and high‑quality vocational training at Klio‑Eterna.

In Germany, fewer and fewer young people are opting for vocational training in the industrial or skilled trades. That is why trainees from abroad play a vital role in helping to address the growing shortage of skilled workers. Although this process involves a great deal of effort, in our experience it is well worth it.

Our Moroccan apprentices are highly motivated to excel and hope to continue living and working in Germany for many years to come — perhaps even for the rest of their lives. We also hope that they will remain with us in the long term.
