Donation to the Wolfach School Support Association

Today, Edeltraud Syllwasschy and Theresa Vetter had the pleasure of presenting a donation to the support association of the Herlinsbach School in Wolfach. The amount was raised in a creative and rather unusual way.

Creative Fundraising at Our Open House Event

During our Open House on May 18, visitors were able to purchase purge lumps – colourful abstract objects created during colour changes in our injection molding machines. They have no further use outside of serving as decorative pieces, but today they attracted plenty of new owners who offered voluntary donations.

Strong Participation and Additional Contribution

We were delighted by the strong interest. To increase the impact of the initiative, we generously topped up the collected amount. This made it possible to finance the Antolin reading app for an entire school year.

Antolin: A Digital Tool for Reading Motivation

The Antolin platform encourages children to read, supports text comprehension in a playful way and helps teachers track individual learning progress – a real benefit for literacy development.

Enthusiasm Among the School Community

During the handover, it became clear how much this support means. The support association, the school leadership – and especially the children – were thrilled that this important learning tool will continue to be available. For us, this initiative shows how a creative by‑product and a committed team can come together to create a valuable contribution to education in our region.
