Donation to the Wolfach School Support Association
19.05.2025
Thanks to your support on the Open Day, we were able to fund the Herlinsbach School’s reading app.
Today, Edeltraud Syllwasschy and Theresa Vetter had the wonderful opportunity to present a donation to the Herlinsbach School Association in Wolfach. The funds were raised in an unusual yet highly creative way: At our open day on 18 May, visitors were able to purchase colourful purge lumps – artistic, colourful objects created during colour changes in our spray-painting shop, which normally have no further use in the production process. In exchange for a voluntary donation, many of them changed hands on the day.
We were delighted by the enthusiastic response. To further enhance the impact of the campaign, we generously topped up the proceeds. This enabled us to reach a sum that will fund the Antolin reading app for a full school year. The digital platform motivates children to read, playfully guides them in understanding texts and helps teachers track individual learning progress – a real asset for teaching and the promotion of reading.
At the handover, it was clear just how much this support is appreciated: the School Association, the school management – and above all the children – are delighted that this important learning tool will continue to be available to them. For us, it is a wonderful example of how a creative by-product and a dedicated team can come together to make a valuable contribution to education in our region.
