First Aid Course
24.10.2025
We’re refreshing our first aid knowledge so that we can act with confidence when it matters.
Everyday life sometimes shows just how quickly you can find yourself in a situation where first aid knowledge is needed. One of our colleagues experienced this first-hand recently: a young man fainted outside an ice cream parlour – 35 degrees degrees celsius, circulatory problems, not drinking enough. Fortunately, there was someone on the spot who knew what to do. She called the ambulance herself, but the thought lingered: when was the last time I actually did a first aid course?
Many people ask themselves this question – and often the last course was decades ago. That is precisely why we at Klio Eterna have once again offered training to become a company first-aider. There was great interest: 19 colleagues took the opportunity to refresh their knowledge.
Divided into two groups, all the key aspects of first aid were taught in a practical manner over two Fridays:
- What to do in the event of a road traffic accident
- The recovery position and when it is necessary
- CPR and the use of a defibrillator
- Bandaging and the correct handling of amputated limbs
- Recognising strokes, heart attacks, allergic reactions and seizures
Did you know? A defibrillator ‘talks’ to you and tells you exactly what to do – so you can feel confident using it even without up-to-date knowledge.
First-aid knowledge can save lives. It provides peace of mind – at work, on the roads and in everyday life. Our participants left the course feeling very confident. And, of course, hoping they would never have to put what they’d learnt into practice.
