Flower Meadow Sponsorship

Insects are essential to the survival of both humans and nature, and a species-rich flower meadow is one of the most valuable habitats for them. For us, sustainability starts right on our own doorstep.

Together with the Black Forest Central/North Nature Park, we are therefore ecologically enhancing an approximately 800-square-meter green space on our company grounds. For this, we are receiving not only expert support but also 1,000 packets of regionally certified wildflower seeds—an important contribution, because only native plants truly provide food for our insects.

Around 1,000 of our best customers will receive a packet of wildflower seeds, instructions for building an insect hotel, and an invitation to create their own little paradise for insects along with their Christmas greetings.

We are particularly proud of our trainees’ commitment. This spring, they will build insect hotels with watering holes themselves and create a biotope with stone piles for non-flying insects and small animals. This is how a diverse refuge is taking shape on our grounds—a small but important piece of nature.

Since 2016, as part of the “Blühender Naturpark” project, 370 areas totaling 220,000 square meters have already been transformed into flowering habitats. With our sponsorship, we are now the 17th corporate partner—and Wolfach’s mayor, Thomas Geppert, expressly praised our decision to ecologically enhance a reserve area.
