Girls' Day – Future Prospects for Girls
25.04.2024
‘When I grow up I want to be a boss!’ We’re inviting girls to spend a day with our boss Edeltraud to inspire them to dream big.
Girls'Day is a nationwide project aimed at providing career and study guidance for girls. It is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. On Girls’ Day, girls learn about professions or fields of study where the proportion of women is below 40 %, for example in IT, the skilled trades, the natural sciences and engineering.
As part of this initiative, we are inviting girls aged 14 and over to spend a day with our boss, Edeltraud Syllwasschy. This is because only 16% of the approximately 3.87 million small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany are run by a woman. Klio-Eterna is proud to be one of them.
Only 29.1% of all leaders in Germany are female, which, according to the Federal Statistical Office, puts Germany below the EU average. We want to help show more girls that they can become anything they want – even a boss!
Participants can look forward to a tour of the premises, a pen they’ve put together themselves featuring the Girl’s Day logo, and interesting conversations with the staff and, of course, the boss. Refreshments will be provided.
